Karnataka Implements Comprehensive Ban on Hookah Smoking
The Karnataka government, led by Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, has issued a statewide prohibition on hookah to safeguard public health.
Rao emphasized the government’s commitment to establishing a secure and health-conscious environment for future generations. Pointing to the severe health implications of hookah consumption, he announced the ban through an official notification on X.

ಹುಕ್ಕಾ ಸೇವನೆಯಿಂದ ಜನರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಗಂಭೀರ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಹುಕ್ಕಾ ಸೇವನೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
